Our school, İstanbulluoğlu Social Sciences High School, has launched its eTwinning projects. We are the founding partners of the “Girls’ Shine 3 – Empowering Narratives” eTwinning project, which is being conducted in collaboration with Slovakia. The project centers on a book by the award-winning Pakistani author Syeda Ayesha Talib, which profiles 100 successful women; the life story of one of our school’s teachers is also featured in the book. Activities carried out in September included an online meeting for teachers, a teacher pre-test, student self-introductions using avatars, and the listing of names—both of the successful women from the book and of successful Turkish women—using AnswerGarden.
