International Istanbul Textile Congress 2013 Innovative and Functional Textiles
May 30-June 1, 2013


Papers on functional and innovative textile structures and textile related materials will be presented during the 2-day conference. Industrial applications of added value functional materials with new functionalities and improved performance will be presented during the 1-day workshop on June 1, 2013. The conference language is English. The workshop will include a poster session and displays of innovative products.

The International Istanbul Textile Congress will be organized by the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in collaboration with the Istanbul Textile & Apparel Research and Development Center (ITKIB-ITA) who are both participants of the FP7 project 2BFUNTEX.www.2BFUNTEX.eu The project aims at collaboration between research centers and industry and exploiting the untapped potential in functional textile structures and textile related materials. The 2BFUNTEX dissemination activities include organising and participating in conferences, workshops and brokerage events. The International Istanbul Textile Congress will provide an excellent opportunity to bring together all innovation actors in the field (universities, research institutes, SMEs, sector associations, …) in order to enhance the transfer of knowledge and favour a rapid industrial uptake.
