“International Symposium on Francisella Tularensis and Tularemia” will be held in Urgup Nevsehir, Turkey between 19 June 2013 and 22 June 2013 by the contributions of Turkish Ministry of Health, International Society of Chemotherapy (Zoonoses Working Group), Erciyes University (Kayseri, Turkey), and Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Speciality Society of TURKEY (EKMUD). The symposium language will be English. There will not be any translation to Turkish and other languages.
The scientific program will include key sessions on all aspects of tularemia including pathogenesis, host response to Francisella, cell biology, ecology, epidemiology, clinical features, diagnostics, vaccines, and therapeutics. The internationally renowned faculty will present a mixture of plenary, roundtable and meet the- expert sessions. We welcome open abstract submissions on all aspects of tularemia. Accepted abstracts will be presented as oral presentation or poster sessions.
The meeting is designed for infectious disease specialists, microbiologists, epidemiologists, immunologists, and veterinary physicians, all physicians working on public health and others with an interest in tularemia. This meeting will foster the interchange of science and medicine in the context of tularemia. The participants will also have the opportunity to see an interesting part of Central Anatolia, Cappadocia, the area of ancient rocks and caves. I look forward to greeting you in Cappadocia, Turkey.
