DzEuro Rundz Competition
ARTICLE 1 – ORGANISATION
The European Central Bank (ECB) is organising a competition called DzEuro Rundz
(hereinafter the DzCompetitiondz) that will run from 0.01 a.m. CET on 25/11/2015 until
23.59 p.m. CET on 25/02/2016. The Competition will only be accessible through this
internet website: www.new-euro-banknotes.eu (hereinafter the DzSitedz), and will take the
form of an online game.
Whereas:
Havas Media France, a public limited company with a share capital of €5,313,456, listed
in the Nanterre trade and companies register with the number 403 201 767, located at 2
Bis rue Godefroy, 92800 PUTEAUX, France will act as the technical service provider for
the Competition (hereinafter DzHavas Media Francedz or the DzProviderdzȌ.
ARTICLE 2 – CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS
This Competition is intended for minors. Their participation requires the approval of
their legal representatives and the use of an e-mail address. Because of the age of the
minors, their legal representatives must authorise the use of their e-mail address.
Participation in the Competition is open to anyone aged between a minimum of 9 years
and a maximum of 12 years during the period of the competition who is resident in a
country of the euro area1 ȋhereinafter a DzParticipantdzȌ and has:
– access to the internet;
– an e-mail address;
– prior authorisation by his/her legal representatives.
DzParticipantdz may refer (as appropriate) in the following articles to the minor directly
participating in the Competition or his/her legal representative.
Participation in the Competition implies acceptance by the Participant of the terms and
conditions and principles of the Competition.
Participants failing to comply with any of the conditions of participation contained in
these Terms and Conditions will be automatically disqualified.

The direct descendants of staff members of the ECB and the Provider directly involved in
the organisation and management of the Competition may not participate in the
Competition.
Participants authorise the verification of their identity and postal address and/or e-mail
address. Any false identity and/or false address and/or false e-mail address or
erroneous data will accordingly render participation and any winnings thereby obtained
null and void.
Any minor participating in this Competition is deemed to be participating under the
supervision and with the consent of his/her parents or of the holder(s) of parental
authority or, failing this, his/her legal guardian(s). The ECB and the Provider reserve the
right to request proof of such authorisation at any time while the Competition is
running, notably when sending prizes, and may cancel the participation of a Participant
whose legal representative does not validate participation.
ARTICLE 3 – PRINCIPLES OF THE COMPETITION
A Participant who wishes to enter the Competition must:
– connect to the Site;
– complete the registration form. The registration form includes the Participant’s
full name, a user name, an e-mail address, the age of the participant, the country
of residence and confirmation of acceptance of these terms and conditions as well
as the processing of personal data. Any participation by a minor implies prior
agreement by his/her legal representatives; as such, the Participant will confirm
this agreement by checking the appropriate box on the form;
– play and obtain the best score possible in the shortest possible time;
– save his/her score.
Each Participant has the option to play as many times as he/she wishes. Only the highest
score for each Participant will be considered for the Competition.
It is noted that the Participant’s participation will not be taken into account if their score
is higher than 361,923 points, as a higher score can only be achieved through improper
means.
Participation is considered to be effected when the Participant has validated a fully
completed registration form.
Any incomplete submission renders participation null and void. Any submission filed
before or after the dates specified above will not be considered.
Participation by any other means than those specified above will not be taken into
account. Only the information contained in the systems and computer files of the
Provider have probative value.
ARTICLE 4 – DESIGNATION OF WINNERS
After the closing date of 25/02/2016, one hundred (100) prizes will be awarded to the
Participants who have achieved the highest cumulative scores in the competition. If
more than 100 Participants have registered the same highest cumulative score, Maître
Crussard, judicial officer, whose office is located at 16 rue du Pont Neuf, 75001 Paris,
France, shall organise a draw involving the Participants with this score in order to
choose the recipients of the prizes.
The judicial officer shall also organise a draw if less than 100 Participants have achieved
the highest score in order to choose from among the Participants with a lower score the
provisional winners who may claim prizes.
The prize is defined in Article 5 below.
The Participants provisionally designated as winners will be notified by e-mail and must
communicate their postal address and the authorisation of their legal representatives to
the Provider in the link provided for this purpose in the winner notification e-mail, and
enclose an electronic copy of their ID (preferably an identity card or passport) within
ten (10) working days starting from the date on which the winner notification e-mail is
sent. The ECB and the Provider shall verify that the Participant meets the eligibility
conditions for the prize, in particular in respect of the age of the winner and of the
parental authorisation that he/she must have. After this verification, the Participants
who fulfil all the conditions laid down in these terms and conditions will be definitively
designated as winners (hereinafter the DzWinnersdz). Participants who have not complied
with the eligibility conditions set out in these terms and conditions will be disqualified.
The ECB and the Provider cannot be held responsible in the event that a Winner is not
contactable by e-mail.
A lack of response by a Winner to the e-mail informing them of their win within the time
frame specified above will render the award of the prize null and void.
Merely by virtue of accepting the prize, each Winner authorises the ECB and the
Provider to use personal information provided during his/her participation in the
Competition for the purpose of sending the prize, without this use triggering any rights
or remuneration other than the prize.
ARTICLE 5 – DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIZE
The Winners chosen in accordance with Article 4 above will each receive the following
prize:
– a new €20 banknote set in acrylic or the equivalent.
There are one hundred (100) prizes. It should be noted that each Winner can only win
one prize. The ECB reserves the right to replace the prize(s) by prizes of equivalent
value, without any claim being made in this regard.
The prizes will be accepted as they are described in these terms and conditions. They
cannot be exchanged or returned, or be subject to any financial compensation.
If a Winner does not want or is unable to take possession of their prize, he/she will not
be entitled to any compensation. The prize will not be awarded and will be kept by the
ECB.
ARTICLE 6 – DELIVERY OF THE PRIZE
As soon as the ECB has collected the necessary information, in particular the
authorisation of the Participant’s legal representative, each prize will be sent to the
Winner at the address previously communicated to the Provider, within a period of
approximately two (2) months from the date of communication of the postal address to
the Provider.
Any prizes undelivered and returned to the ECB as a result of an incomplete or incorrect
address provided by a Winner cannot be recovered by the latter and will remain the
property of the ECB, without the ECB being held responsible. Similarly, any unclaimed
prize at the post office will not be recoverable by the Winner and will remain the
property of the ECB. In general, the ECB cannot be held responsible for any damage,
theft or loss occurring during the dispatch and delivery of a prize. Furthermore, the ECB
accepts no responsibility for any incident or accident that may arise during the use or
enjoyment of a prize.
ARTICLE 7 – FILING OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions shall be made available to Participants on the Site by
clicking on the DzTerms and conditionsdz link.
These terms and conditions are filed with Maître Crussard, the judicial officer mentioned
in Article 4.
The ECB reserves the right during the Competition to amend these terms and conditions
in respect of any changes to the Site and its operation.
ARTICLE 8 – LIABILITY
The Participants’ connection to the Site and their participation in the Competition is
their sole responsibility.
It is the responsibility of each Participant to take all appropriate measures to protect
his/her own data and/or software stored on his/her computer equipment against any
attack. Participation in the Competition implies knowledge and acceptance of the
characteristics and limitations of the internet, in particular as regards technical
performance, response times for checking, querying or transferring information, risks of
interruption, risks associated with the connection, the lack of protection of certain data
against any misuse and the risk of contamination by any viruses circulating on the
internet.
Participants agree to comply with all laws and regulations in force.
The ECB and the Provider assume no liability for any misuse or incident related to the
computer of a Participant and, in the event of any malfunctioning, to the methods of
connecting to the internet and/or the internet itself (interruption, deletion, poor
transmission, etc.), leading to failures in the administration, security, fairness, integrity
or management of the Competition.
The ECB and the Provider likewise cannot be held liable for any damage, material or
immaterial, caused to the Participants, their computer equipment and the data stored
therein, or any direct or indirect consequences thereof, particularly to their personal,
professional or business activities.
The Provider shall make every effort to enable access to the Competition from the Site at
any time, without being under any obligation to do so. The Provider may, at any time,
especially for technical reasons or for updating or maintenance reasons, suspend access
to the Site and/or the Competition. The ECB and the Provider shall in no way be
responsible for these interruptions and their consequences.
The ECB may cancel all or part of the Competition if it appears that fraud has occurred in
any form whatsoever, including by electronic means, either during participation in the
Game or in determining the Winners. It reserves, in this case, the right not to award a
prize to any person engaged in fraud and/or to take legal action against those
responsible for such fraud in the competent courts. However, it does not accept any
liability whatsoever vis-à-vis Participants for any fraud committed.
ARTICLE 9 – FORCE MAJEURE
The ECB and the Provider shall not be liable in the event of cancellation of the
Competition due to force majeure or fraud. The ECB reserves the right to stop the
Competition at any time without being liable for any pecuniary or non-pecuniary
damage suffered by the Participants.
ARTICLE 10 – PERSONAL DATA
The ECB and the Provider collect the personal data referred to in Articles 3 and 4
directly from Participants as a precondition for participation. Personal data will be used
for the purposes referred to in those Articles. Additionally, Participants should note that
their user name and country of residence will appear on the ranking of the Competition
and on the list of Winners published on the Site.
The ECB and the Provider shall make every effort to prevent unauthorised access to or
disclosure of personal data, and to this end shall apply physical, electronic and
managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information collected.
The personal data processed by the ECB and the Provider may be accessed by the
Participants or their legal representatives pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of
the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of
individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community
institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data. The maximum storage
period for these data is six months from the end of the Competition. The data will be
deleted thereafter.
Participants have a right to access their personal data, which will be used with due
regard for their rights. Participants have a right to correct any inaccuracies or
incomplete personal data and the right to delete their data by contacting the Provider.
For all other requests, Participants may contact the ECB. Participants may lodge a
complaint with the European Data Protection Supervisor.

ARTICLE 11 – APPLICABLE LAW
The applicable law for this Competition will be German law. All cases not provided for
by these terms and conditions will be decided upon by the ECB and these decisions will
be considered final.
In the event of any dispute arising in the context of this Competition, an amicable
settlement will be sought. If such an agreement cannot be reached, the matter will be
referred to the competent authorities. All claims must be submitted within two months
of the closing date of the Competition.
