SUBJECT: THE HISTORY THAT IS LIVING IN MY HOMECITY

“Everything which is left us from our grandfathers is the heritage to our grangchildren”

Sometimes they appear us in the main squares of the city, sometimes in the destroyed backside streets. Some of them are from our grandfathers, some of them are from the previous homeowners of our city before us. They have witnessed to earthquakes, floods, wars or even received the wound. But despite everything they are still with us and they continue to hold their places in our memories.

So, while we are living in our cities as like running, how much we notice the historical and culturel values in our cities that are continuously modernizing and advancing in non stop technology? How much we are carrying the traces of the past to future?

Using vectors for the photo documentary of the past have come to the present historical, architectural, cultural values, we want to move to the next generations.

By using the documentarial carrying force of photography, we want to carry the historical, architectural, cultural values which has come to present day from past to next generations.

ENTRY RULES

The Salon is open to all photographers, amateurs and professionals worldwide,

except members of the exhibition committee and members of the jury and their

relations at 1st degree. Also employees of Selçuk Municipality can’t be participant for this competition.

All entries must be color and digital only.

· Each participant can send at most 4 photographs to competition. The

photos must be loaded on a dvd or cd.

· The format of the photographs must be 300dpi resolution and available to print in large size prints.

· Images totally created by using computer software or images without any

photographic content will be disqualified.

· You will create a file in CD / DVD that you recorded the photographes and you

give a sequence number to your photographs and you will write in a word file,

your name – surname. Also you must write your post address, e-mail address,

phone number and if you have your web site address. You must fill in the form

and must send with the same envelope with CD / DVD recorded photographs.

· Cd and DVD’s which are sent to exhibition will not be sent back to participants

and they will be destroyed by the observing of representative of Turkish Art

Photography Federation (TFSF).

· Write on to the envelope that you send CD/DVD; “No commercial value,

photographs for exhibition only”.

Photographs should be packed up with utmost care; however the Organiser

(Selçuklu Municipality and Sille Art Palace) shall assume no responsibility for damages or loss of photographs during postage.

At the end of the competition, the photos which are awarded the prize or are held

for exhibition, will be announced at www.selcuklu.bel.tr, www.tfsf.org.tr and

www.sillesanat.com web sites. The photos which are awarded and accepted, will

be collected in a CD and this CD will be send to all of the participants.
