We are pleased to announce a new series of conferences, International Dynamic, Explorative, and Active Learning (IDEAL) conferences. The first meeting of the series will be hosted by Bayburt University in Bayburt, TURKEY. Bayburt is small Anatolian city located at the north-east of Anatolia, just behind Kackar Mountains of the Black Sea region of Turkey.
For this first meeting, we seek for both research and theoretical papers delving into a deep understanding of dynamic learning, explorative learning, visual learning, and/or active learning either in mathematics education or in science education. However, papers in other disciplines of education following the scope of the conference are also welcome.
The technology lies at the heart of the IDEAL Conferences series. We specifically concern about the ways in which technology is used as a learning agent to achieve learning objectives addressing the needs of Net Generation, the generation grows up in technology, and the evolving learning practices taking care of this new generation as well as using technology in extending learners’ cognitive abilities by benefitting from affordances of technology.
We encourage submissions that:
•Present innovative approaches of using technology in dynamic learning, explorative and active learning, visual learning, and/or any combination of these;
•Report research report on dynamic learning, explorative learning, and/or active learning as well as visual learning;
•Provoke our thoughts to advance current practices on use of technology;
•Encourage scholarly inquiry related to the needs of Net Generation;
•Explore the evolution of learning styles of Net Generation.
Also, we would like to hear about:
•Student experience in using technology in classroom
•Student experience in using technology while doing homework
•Classroom implementation of current technologies at any discipline and any level
•Teacher reflections on implementing technology into their classroom
•Pre-service teacher expectations of using technology
•Online collaborations involving dynamic and/or explorative learning
•Future expectations of students, in-service teachers, pre-service teachers, educators and policy makers
•Educator reflections on the current implementation of technology at any level, at any discipline
Besides a publication of proceedings, the authors of selected papers will be invited to submit their extended papers for a Springer book, titled as Explorative Learning in Mathematics and Science and will be the first of the Springer book series, named as Contemporary Trends in Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education.
