ECOWEEK is a NGO founded in 2005 and based in Greece. ECOWEEK mission is to raise environmental awareness and to promote the principles of sustainability. ECOWEEK has activity in more than 15 countries and a network of members in 45 countries. ECOWEEK international conference and design workshops attract students and professionals from around the world and involve the participants in real projects in the host city in cooperation with the local authorities. ECOWEEK has taken place in more than 15 cities around the world, including Athens, Belgrade, Beit Jala, Copenhagen, Jerusalem, Krakow, London, Milan, Prishtina, Rome, Tel Aviv, and Thessaloniki. Contemporary Archeology In Istanbul

ECOWEEK Istanbul 2015 is International Conference and Design Workshops that takes place in Istanbul in April 20-25, 2015.
The theme of ECOWEEK Istanbul 2015 is ‘Contemporary Archeology’. The participants will be encouraged to work together on discarded or underused buildings, infrastructures, open areas; recognize their value and potential as an architectural resource; react positively to urban, social and cultural conditions and put them back into circulation.
During ECOWEEK students will spend one week attending lectures and design workshops led by local & international architects, landscape architects and designers.
