We Conducted the April Activities of Our Projects
We have completed the April activities of our projects, for which our school holds the founding status.
The online meeting of our Eco-Warriors project, where we are fighting against climate change, was held on April 9, 2025. Our students Nur and Devrim were the presenters. The meeting started with opening speeches. Following the speeches of our founding teacher from Tunisia, Ms. Aljia, and our school teacher, Dr. A. Akbulut, the students provided information about our activities. During the meeting, it was reminded that the project would end in April and any missing activities should be completed. At the project meeting, where the importance of disseminating the project was also emphasized, our school teacher Dr. A. Akbulut stated that she was a finalist at the Women Changing the World Award held in London thanks to the contribution of our projects, and at the award ceremony on April 3, 2025, she ranked third in the world in the education category for children’s education. The meeting concluded with closing speeches.
In our Scientific Blunders4 project, which we are conducting with our partner from Romania (Ms. Corina) and where we examined television from scientific blunders, we carried out activities for a television program. We added a video of our student Sude playing the piano, our school’s promotional video, a presentation introducing Turkey that we prepared in partnership with Azerbaijan, a collaborative karaoke event, etc., to the television broadcast.
Finally, in the A Friend in Need is A Friend Indeed project on culture, which we are conducting with our partner from Georgia, Ms. Manana, we held World Soil Day and World Water Day events in April. On World Water Day, students watered the potted flowers in our school and took care of the trees in the schoolyard. Our students gave water and food to street animals. Our students researched the water cycle and its importance.
We would like to thank our students and teachers for all the activities in our projects.
