Dear colleagues,
Congratulations to the participants in the Winter round of Mathematics without Borders Tournament. 13, 391 students from 26 countries took part in it, all of them received certificates and the ones finished 1st to 3rd places – certificates and medals.
We are going to organize the Spring round of the II International Tournament “Mathematics without borders”.
The participation fee is $10 per student. The money is used for: making of the tests, translation of the tests in English and Russian, printing the certificates of participation for each student and medals for the winners, postage fees and maintaining the website of the tournament.
For the Spring round of the tournament please note the following deadlines:
By March 20, 2015 – The schools must send a participation application form by e-mail to the following addresses: mat_stz@abv.bg and l.lyubenov@mathematicalmail.com;
The application must be accompanied by a scanned document as proof of a paid participation fee (plus data for an invoice if necessary);

By March 20, 2015 – The organizers will send the tests, the answer sheets, the answer key, and a sample report for the participants’ results to the participanting schools;
By 29 March 2015 – The competition will be held on a day convenient for the school;
By 1 April 2015 – The schools must send the results report by e-mail to mat_stz@abv.bg and l.lyubenov@mathematicalmail.com;
April 6, 2015 – The results from the Spring round will be published on the website of the tournament;
By April 13, 2015 – The certificates for all participants and the medals for the winners will be sent by post.
FINAL ROUND 2015 – Nessebar, Bulgaria
By April 1, 2015 – Announcement of accommodation offers for Nessebar;
By April 10, 2015 – The contestants must confirm or cancel their participation in the final by sending an email to mat_stz@abv.bg and l.lyubenov@mathematicalmail.com.
By April 20, 2015 – The schools must send a list of participants in the individual competitions and a list of their teams (3 students of the same age group); The participation fee in the final round is 40 USD for each participant in the individual competition and 10 USD for each participant in the team competition.
By June 15, 2015 – The room allocation (in Lyuben Karavelov Secondary School, Nessebar, Bulgaria) will be published on the website of the tournament;
1 and 2 July, 2015 – Final round of the tournament – individual and team competitions;
2 July, 2015 – Award ceremony for the winners, closing of the tournament.
Your trip to Bulgaria:
To get free visas (for participation in events for educational purposes), it is necessary for you to do the following:
1. Send e-mail list that contains :
– Full names of children, date of birth, passport number (if possible), address;
– Full names of accompanying persons, date of birth, passport number (if possible), address ;
After receiving the list of persons who will travel to Bulgaria, we will prepare an invitation that will be sent to you, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bulgarian embassies and consulates in your country, and you will be issued free visas.
2. Most convenient for you would be to fly to Bourgas Airport – the program of the tournament is scheduled for seven days :
– Arrival – June 26, 2015 ;
– Departure – July 4, 2015 , unless you want to stay longer in Bulgaria.
3. You need to do:
– Arrangements for visas to the relevant agencies – seek help from local authorities;
– Insurance for any person for the duration of their stay in the Republic of Bulgaria.
