eTwinning Inspiration in Our TÜBİTAK 4006A Exhibition
As İstanbulluoğlu Social Sciences High School, we experienced great excitement at the TÜBİTAK 4006A Science Fair held on May 6-7, 2026. In our TÜBİTAK Science Fair exhibition, which we prepared with the inspiration we received from our eTwinning projects “Girls’ Shine 2: Rose and Candle” and “Let’s Write an Ekphrastic Poem 2: The Sculpted Form,” of which we are the founders, we blended gender equality awareness with digital productivity.
## The Digital Portrait of Gender Equality in Education
This study, prepared under the guidance of Dr. Asiye Akbulut, was presented by our students Ceylin, Tuana Duru, Yağmur, and Muhsine Ecrin. Our team, which meticulously researched the lives of 8 pioneer women who left their mark on the world and Turkey, carried and presented these success stories to digital platforms using the tools of the modern world. The digital contents produced include e-books, presentations, digital puzzles, mind maps, and information panels with QR codes.
## Workshops
Our exhibition was not just a presentation area, but also a living production center. The Punch Workshop, Wax-Resist Technique, and Bracelet Making workshops, conducted by our students Melek, Begüm, and Ezgi, attracted great interest from the visitors. Our visitors of all ages who participated in our activities experienced these events.
## Pride of International Success
Our achievements in the international arena were also exhibited at the Science Fair. For example, the National and European Quality Labels of our eTwinning projects “Girls’ Shine 2: Rose and Candle” and “Let’s Write an Ekphrastic Poem 2: The Sculpted Form,” as well as our World Second Place degree obtained in the “Women Changing the World” awards held in April 2026, took their place in the exhibition.
## Hand-made and Multi-faceted Education
The box and stone paintings, portraits, knitting works, and hand-made designs prepared by our students with their handiwork proved once again that education has academic, aesthetic, and skill-oriented aspects. The “Girls’ Shine 3” project, which we plan to carry out next year, was also included in the exhibition.
We would like to thank our project advisor teacher Dr. Asiye Akbulut, all our students who took part in the presentations and workshops, our eTwinning teams, our school administration, our staff, and all our guests who did not leave us alone on this meaningful day for their efforts in bringing this organization to life.
Thank you.
