Arts in STEAM Conference

From an education system perspective, a significant role in the development and nurturing of students’ curiosity, creativity, problem solving competencies, and collaboration abilities has been assigned to transdisciplinary STEAM education. In that context, the Arts in STEAM 2022 Conference will provide an opportunity for scientific exploration of STEAM education with an emphasis on the role of the arts in that transdisciplinary endeavor.

Researchers, educators, and artists are invited to contribute to this conference in one of the following formats:

1. Arts/creative contributions (any format, visual and performance)
The creative works/arts contribution can be in any format and size, visual-painting, sculpture – digital or performance. The contribution proposal should include: The theme; The presenter/s name/s and affiliation/s; An abstract of 250 words at most, including a general description and additional information – characteristics pertinent for the exhibit such as size and need for light. Id extra support for the art work is necessary, the artist should provide that (or check with conference organizers).

2. Research presentations
The research presentation proposal should include: The paper title; The author/s name/s and affiliation/s; An abstract of 500 words at most, including a brief introduction, theoretical and contextual background, methodological information, findings, discussion, reflection and references (no more than 5).

3. Workshops (games and activities)
Workshops are interactive and practical session that promote skills development, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among participants and workshop facilitators. The workshop proposal should include: The workshop title; The facilitator/s name/s and affiliation/s; The target audience; An abstract of 250 words at most, including a general description, additional information, and the output activities envisioned.

Proposals should explain clearly the relevance of the contribution to the conference theme: Arts in STEAM. If pertinent, an image may be included.
