Third international conference on phenology will be held at Kusadasi/Turkey, from 5-8 October 2015. It is a German/Turkish initiative of the Humboldt-University of Berlin (President: Prof. Jan-Hendrik Olbertz) and Adnan Menderes University Aydin (President: Prof. Dr. Cavit Bircan) and will be hosted by the Faculty of Agriculture in Aydin (Dean: Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Gencsoylu).
The conference is organised by Frank-M. Chmielewski (Humboldt-University Berlin) and Osman Erekul (Adnan Menders University Aydin). It will run over 4 days, starting on Monday 5 October 2015, and finishing on Thursday 8 October 2015. Overall theme of the conference is “Challenges in Phenology”. The official conference language is English.
Conference, accommodation and conference dinner on 7 October 2015 will all take place at the Pine Bay resort at Kusadasi. The conference fee will cover all these costs.
On 9 October two excursions are offered for the conference participants. One option is a bus trip to Ephesus, a famous historical site, 20 km away from Kusadasi. An alternative is a boot cruise on the Aegean Sea. For more information see the link “Excursions”.
Conference products will include a set of peer-reviewed scientific papers in a special issue of the International Journal of Biometeorology.
