Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the Organization Committee, we would like to invite you to the 2nd International Symposium on Traditional Foods from Adriatic to Caucasus, to held in Ohrid – Struga/Macedonia on 24-26th October 2013 and enjoy the scientific and cultural activities. The symposium is organized by bilateral agreement of Namık Kemal University and University ,,St.Kliment Ohridski”-Bitola.
We feel honored to say that we conducted the 1st International Symposium on Traditional Foods from Adriatic to Caucasus in Tekirdağ on 2010 successfully. We had 600 participants from different countries (mainly from Turkey), addressing scientists, technicians and industrialist, 9 scientific sections with 40 oral presentations and also 381 poster presentations. We had great feedbacks that motivate us to arrange the second of that symposium.
The 2nd International Symposium on Traditional Foods from Adriatic to Caucasus will be held in Ohrid- Struga, Macedonia which is one of the most pleasant places in Europe. Macedonia’s large abundance of natural and cultural attractions make it a preferred place to visit. While we are learning about the traditional foods of different cultures from Adriatic to Caucasus, we can enjoy the Macedonia’s spectacular peaks, lakes and rivers. Also, the hospitality of the Macedonian people will make your visit truly memorable.
Our main goal is from now on to offer to all of you a great and attractive symposium joining different cultures, traditions and knowledge throughout the traditional foods from Adriatic to Caucasus.

The Aim of The Symposium
To evaluate production process and to indicate the importance of the food products which are produced in countries from Adriatic to Caucasus and locally important,
To improve the international familiarness of the product which are known just locally,
To prepare a reference book where the presentations performed in the symposium will be published,
To develop further academic and cultural agreement among universities from Adriatic to Caucasus.
We are going to reunion in an academic meeting by Ohrid Lake.
