Youth on the Move (a European Union initiative) is launching the ‘Where was it taken?’ contest in order to test your knowledge of European urban topography. Don’t think twice. Stand up to the challenge right now! You will be able to show off your knowledge in 9 unique opportunities – starting from December 10, 2012 till February 24, 2013.

This contest is open to young people aged 16 to 30 from one of the 27 EU Member States, as well as Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey or Switzerland.

Art. 1. P.A.U. Education, on behalf of the European Commission Directorate-General for Education
and Culture, is organising the Youth on the Move ‘Where was it taken?’ contest, to be held between
10 December 2012 and 24 February 2013. There are 9 editions of this contest, as follows: 1st edition –
10 – 16 December 2012; 2nd
edition – 17 – 23 December 2012; 3rd
edition –7 – 13 January 2013; 4th
edition – 14 – 20 January 2013; 5th
edition – 21 – 27 January 2013; 6th
edition – 28 January – 3
February 2013; 7th
edition – 4 February – 10 February 2013; 8th
edition – 11 – 17 February 2013; 9 th
edition – 18 – 24 February 2013.
Art. 2. This contest is open to young people aged 16 to 30 who are resident in one of the 27 EU
Member States, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia,
Turkey or Switzerland. Staff working for the European Commission or for companies and agencies
that have contractual relations with the European Commission are not allowed to participate in the
contest. The age and residence of the winners will be verified (a scan of the identity card will be
required from the winners) by the Youth on the Move contest staff before awarding the prizes.
Art. 3. The contest consists of each participant answering to the question posted – next to a picture –
on the Youth on the Move Facebook page. Wrong answers shall not be eligible. In order to participate
in the contest each participant will access the ‘Where was it taken?’ Facebook application.
Art. 4. Out of the submitted correct answers, a draw (lottery) will be made (each participant will
receive an identification number out of which the winner will be extracted randomly) on Mondays (17,
24 December; 14, 21, 28 January; 4, 11, 18 and 25 February) and the winner will be selected. The final
decision on the winner shall be irrevocable and may not be appealed. The winners will be informed by
e-mail and announced on the Youth on the Move page wall. The winners have to provide a copy of
the identity card to prove their age and residence. The prizes will be sent by regular mail to addresses
the winners will subsequently provide. Participants can only win once.
Art. 5. The organiser (P.A.U. Education and the European Commission DG EAC) reserves the right not
to grant any prizes if it considers this appropriate. The prizes shall be as follows: 9 mp4 players (there
will be awarded one prize/week of contest to one participant).
Art. 6. By participating in this contest, participants agree that P.A.U. Education on behalf of the
European Commission DG EAC reserves the right to reproduce and use all or part of the material
relating to this contest, mentioning the name of the author(s), without refunding the participant and
without paying any fee.
The personal data participants provide shall be used by P.A.U. Education S.L., Muntaner 262, 3, 08021
Barcelona (Spain), for the purposes of this contest and in order to inform of forthcoming Youth on the
Move events. Should participants object to the storage of their data (the e-mail address submitted on
the Facebook application in order to participate in this contest), they are invited to inform P.A.U.
Education by e-mail (info-yom@paueducation.com) and such data shall be deleted from P.A.U.
Education’s files.
Art. 7. The simple act of participating in this competition implies acceptance of these rules.
