Go Global with the new Global Exchange Scholarship Program
Starting from this semester Global Exchange applicants are welcome to apply for our new scholarship program. The applicants will receive financial support for their study abroad programs for Fall 2014 and Spring 2015. The financial support will cover a given amount of living, flight and travel expenses depending on location.
How to Apply?
• Visit http://oip.ku.edu.tr/outgoing/partners to check the destinations;
• See your academic advisor to get suggestions;
• Make a list of partner universities you want to study;
• Get the scanned copies of your Transcript, Passport size photo and TOEFL/IELTS score card;
• Apply for the Global Exchange Program @ http://oip.ku.edu.tr/outgoing/applynow
• Download the scholarship application form at the end of the page.
• Submit the filled out scholarship forms to Gulbahar Akıncı at Scholarship Office (gakinci@ku.edu.tr / Student Center Floor -3 Room B304)
• Deadline for scholarship application is 15 November 2013.
Eligibility for Global Exchange Scholarship
• You must be meeting the acceptance conditions of the host universities you apply.
• Your GPA must be at least 2.8/4.00 even if the host instiutions’ GPA requirement is below 2.8/4.00.
• If you are already receiving a scholarship the total financial support you will get, will not exceed the amount determined for your destination country.
• Anadolu Scholarship students do not need to fill out and submit scholarship application forms; stating the type of scholarship you have been receiving will be sufficient.
• Applications will be evaluated on a case by case basis and the financial situation of the applicants will be taken into consideration.
Announcement of the Results
• Global Exchange Scholarship Committe willl announce the results @ http://oip.ku.edu.tr/outgoing/scholarship on 29 November 2013.
• Global Exchange Placement results will be announced in the 3rd week of December 2013.
Important Notes:
• ’’Credit Transfer Only’’ option is not available for Global Exchange Scholarship students.
• Free Slot applicants can not be considered as scholarship candidates.
• Deadline for Global Exchange Program without a scholarship is 15 December 2013.
