Gençlik Barış Kampı

21-30 June 2013: Youth Peace Camp – Engaging young people and youth organisations from conflict–stricken regions in dialogue and conflict transformation, European Youth Centre Strasbourg, France
The Camp aims to engage young people and youth organisations from conflict stricken regions in dialogue and conflict transformation activities based on human rights education and intercultural learning and to provide them with a positive experience in living and learning together.
This year, as part of the Youth Campaign for Human Rights Online, the programme will place a specific emphasis on the role of Hate Speech in conflict and post-conflict situations.

This year the camp is addressed to young people, from 18 to 25 years old, from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, from both the Albanian and Serbian ethnic communities, Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Georgia, including Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and the Russian Federation,
specifically young people directly affected by the crisis with Georgia. They will have to be fully committed to take part in the Youth Peace Camp project, be involved in youth or community projects and motivated to implement youth initiatives for peace building within their own communities and be able to work in English.

Deadline to apply: 17 April 2013.
