The 24th Biennial Meeting of the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development will be held in Vilnius, capital city of Lithuania on 10-14 July, 2016. The ISSBD 2016 Local Organizing, National Advisory and International Program Committees, Mykolas Romeris University are delighted to invite you to attend the first ISSBD conference in Eastern Europe. ISSBD 2016 will feature an exciting scientific program, delivered by scholars and students conducting research on human development across the lifespan. In addition to enjoying the superb scientific content, we hope attendees and their families will explore the contemporary, culturally vibrant city of Vilnius as well as the spectacular beauty of Lithuania – Europe’s best-kept secret. With a growing ISSBD membership representing at least 60 countries around the world, we look forward to scholarly exchange on a diversity of developmental topics from infancy to late life.

chen_web_2013a_smallThe International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD) was founded in 1969. Its primary mission is to promote scientific research on human development throughout the lifespan and application of relevant findings in the world. Since 1971, ISSBD has held 23 biennial meetings on six continents, ten in Europe, six in North America, four in Asia, one in Africa, one in Australia, and one in South America. The most recent meetings were held in Melbourne, Australia (2006), Würzburg, Germany (2008), Lusaka, Zambia (2010), Edmonton, Canada (2012), and Shanghai, China (2014). ISSBD currently has more than 1000 members in about 60 countries. On behalf of ISSBD Executive Committee, I invite you with great pleasure to participate in the 24th ISSBD meeting, which will be held in the beautiful city of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, in July 2016. The conference organizer, Rita Žukauskienė, and her team have been working diligently to prepare for the conference. They will provide a highly stimulating and exciting scientific program covering various aspects of developmental science. It will be a unique opportunity for scholars and researchers from different societies to engage in intensive and extensive communications and discussions on interesting topics.
