Oslo, Norway
May 22 – May 24, 2017
The Oslo Freedom Forum (OFF) is a thriving global community of people who share the common vision of making the world a more peaceful, prosperous, and freer place. The ninth annual forum will unite dissidents, activists, artists, journalists, and changemakers in Oslo on May 22-24, 2017.
The Economist describes OFF as the “Davos for human rights,” while the New York Times calls OFF the place where “the world’s dissidents have their say.” WIRED says it’s where “stories are shared, campaigns sharpened and new alliances forged.”
Confirmed speakers for 2017 include a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and journalist, a Zimbabwean civil rights activist, a persecuted Ecuadorean political cartoonist, as well as an Iraqi parliamentarian and Yazidi activist. Click the links under “Attending Speakers” to learn more.
The program will also feature world-class music, comedy, art, a Tech Lab designed to connect dissidents with technologists, an interactive expo, and an expanded set of breakout conversations aimed at launching new collaborations and projects to advance the global freedom movement.
