14th International Fir Symposium

Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce you “14th International Fir Symposium”to be held by Kastamonu University in Kastamonu, Turkiye (TURKEY) between 12 and 14 of September, 2012. This international symposium is organized to share and discuss the recent developments and data on Fir species. For Turkiye, Firs have a special importance because of theirs increasing economic value in marketplace and decorative characteristic in landscape architecture. The aim of the conference is to provide a synoptic overview on latest observations in fir ecosystem dynamics, recent threats and suitable management concepts. Presentations are welcome for the following session topic:”Climate Change and the Fir species complex of Europe and the Mediterranean Region”.

The Official Language of the symposium will be English. There will be no translation from English into Turkish.
