Safranbolu’da düzenlenecek olan 1. Uluslararası Turizm ve Mimarlık Konferansına davetlisiniz. Konferansa bildiri ile ya da dinleyici olarak katılabilirsiniz. Konferans Karabük Üniversitesi Safranbolu Turizm Fakültesi ve Mimarlık Fakültesi tarafından Özbekistan Buhara Üniversitesi Turizm Fakültesi ortaklığı ile gerçekleşecektir.
Konferansın ana konusunu turizm disiplini ve turizm destinasyonlarının en önemli çekicilikleri olan mimari eserler oluşturmaktadır.
Günümüz insanı rekreasyon, din, iş, kültür, spor v.b. amaçlarla seyahat etmektedirler. Şehirlerin sahip olduğu kültür, miras ve mimari eserler ziyaretçilerin ilgilerini bu destinasyonlara çekmektedir. Saraylar, tapınaklar, kiliseler, camiler, geleneksel konutlar, tiyatrolar, köprüler, anıtsal binalar bir destinasyonun tarih ve kültürünü yansıttığından insanların seyhat hareketinin önemli birer nedenidirler. Bunun yanısıra, mimarlık, son yıllarda ünlü mimarlar tarafından tasarlanmış olan çağdaş binaların ve tarihi önemi olan ya da bir yerin geleneksel mimari özelliklerini yansıtan binaların ziyaret edilmesi için organize edilen ve “mimari turizm” olarak adlandırılan bir özel ilgi turizmi türünün ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Mimari eserler, bir yerin tarihi ile ilgili bilgi edinmede önemli birer kaynaktırlar ve orada yaşayan yerel halkın kültürünü, yaşam biçimini ve ruhunu yansıtırlar.
Osmanlı sivil mimarisinin en güzel örneklerini yansıtan Safranbolu, bu kültürel zenginliğin ve geleneksel mimarinin en iyi örneklerinden de biridir. Bununla birlikte, günümüzde modern mimarinin en iyi örneklerinin (örneğin, Sydney Opera Binası gibi) bulunduğu şehirler turistik çekicilik anlamında önemli bir potansiyele sahiptir. Ayırca, otellerden müzelere kadar pek çok binayı turizmin hizmetine sunan turizm mimarisi turizm sektörü açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Turistik ihtiyacın karşılanması için otel, restoran, havalimanı, müze, kongre ve sergi merkezi gibi turistik alt ve üstyapıya dikkate değer miktarda yatırım yapılmaktadır. Böylece, mimari eserler turistik tecrübeleri zenginleştirdiğinden, kültür, mimarlık ve turizm arasındaki bu karşılıklı ilişkinin incelenmesi önemlidir.
Bir UNESCO Dünya Miras alanı olan Safranbolu yılda yaklaşık 750 bin turisti ağırlamaktadır. Bu nedenle, konferansın Safranbolu’da düzenlenmesi katılımcıların sıradışı bir deneyim elde etmeleri açısından önemli bir fırsattır. Konferans tüm dünyadan pek çok akademisyenin, araştırmacının, uygulamacının, yerel otoritelerin, turizm paydaşlarının ve mimarların bir araya gelmesine olanak sağlayacaktır. Böylece katılımcılar yeni araştırmalarını sunma, bilgi paylaşma ve bu alandaki konuları enine boyuna tartışma imkanına imkanına sahip olacaklardır.
1st International Conference on Tourism and Architecture
You are cordially invited to submit your abstracts or papers to be considered for presentation at the 1st International Tourism, Culture and Architecture Conference which will take place on October 24-27, 2018 in Safranbolu, Turkey. The conference will be organized by Karabuk University Safranbolu Faculty of Tourism and Faculty of Architecture with the collaboration of Bukhara State University Faculty of Tourism.
The conference will focus on tourism, culture and architecture, one of the main attractions of tourism destinations and the built environment constructed for and by tourism.
People travel for different reasons such as recreation, pilgrimage, business, culture, sports, etc. Culture, heritage, architecture of the cities have a basic role in attracting visitors traveling to a specific destination. Palaces, temples, churches, mosques, traditional houses, theaters, bridges, monumental buildings attract large crowds as they represent the history and the culture of a certain destination. Besides, architecture has recently generated a specialized type of tourism called architecture tourism whereby specialist trips are organized around the cities worldwide to visit contemporary buildings designed by well-known architects as well as historically important or traditionally characteristic buildings. Architecture is a source of information about the history and it expresses cultures in which it arises and the lifestyle and spirit of the people.
Safranbolu is an ideal example which hosts historical houses belonging to the Ottoman period that shows the characteristics of civil architecture. However, today excellent modern architecture (for example, Sydney Opera House) has the same power of attraction on tourists. Besides, tourism architecture from hotels to museums is important in order to meet the needs of tourists and satisfy them. Tourism industry invests enormous amounts of money in constructing and designing hotels, restaurants, airports, museums, exhibition centers. Therefore, examining the reciprocal relationship between the culture, architecture and tourism is significant as architecture enhances the tourist experiences.
Being a UNESCO World Heritage site, Safranbolu attracts 750 thousand tourist annually. Therefore, organization of this conference in Safranbolu will provide extraordinary experiences to the participants. The conference will bring together many academicians, researchers, practitioners, authorities, tourism stakeholders, architects, etc. from all over the world. Participants will find opportunities for presenting new research, exchanging information, and discussing current issues.
